Italiano's

Italiano's is a small neighborhood restaurant located in the heart of Marcus Hook that is big on taste and easy on the wallet. It offers big "Italian style'' family portions, so you always end up taking something home.

It is family ran and owned, which makes this a very friendly and personal place to dine. From the appetizers to the deserts, almost everything is made from scratch ( Your taste buds can tell). I have been here a number of times and not once have I had a bad experience.

In the evenings you are greeted by a little old Italian/Sicilian woman, who graciously seats you ate your table ( if going after 5pm I suggest a reservation, because it fills up quickly).

Once seated, each table is brought a basket of freshly made garlic bread that is to die for, but remember to save some to dip into the sauces from your dinner entrees.

They offer a wide variety of Italian meals at low low low prices. I don't think there is anything on the menu over 17$.

If you go for lunch you can get anything on the dinner menu at almost have price.

All of their deserts and 4.50$ and I am telling you that you must try the cheese cake, it is sinfully good.

Oh and they are BYOB, so don't forget to bring yourself a nice bottle of wine to compliment your dinner.

They also have take out which is good for those nights you wanna stay in, they have good selection of sandwich's, hoagie's, cheese steaks and pizza. And the sandwich's are so plentiful their almost enough for two people to split.

I hope you all get a chance to go to Italiano's in the near future. I know if you like Italian food if go once you will end up going back again.

Feel free to leave comments!!

Samurai Japanese Steakhouse & Hibachi

For my first Yummy post I chose one of my favorite places to eat in Delco, Samurai Hibachi. On a scale of 1-10, it gets a ten all across the board.

When you walk in you are quickly greeted by the servers, who offer you a warm towel to cleanse your hands which I think is a great personal touch.

One of the pluses at this Japanese Hibachi is that you are able to choose whether or not you want to be seated at a regular table or at a hibachi style setting. No matter which one you choose i am sure you will not be disappointed.

Once seated you will notice the lovely ambiance that Samurai has to offer. ( Its great for those date nights). It is a very beautiful and clean place to dine. Even the bathrooms are beautiful. I always say that if they take care of their bathrooms, they take care of the kitchen. (So if the bathrooms are a mess DON'T EAT THERE!!)

The selection of food choices is almost over whelming. They have a wide variety of tasty Japanese style dishes. They even have sushi! I would have to recommend the Tekka Don if your into sushi, it is prepared so beautifully, you almost don't wanna eat it. No matter what your taste I am sure that there is something on the menu that will catch your eye or taste buds. One of the best things about eating at Samurai is at the end of each dinner, the servers will bring out a delectable pineapple "boat" as an after dinner treat.

The prices are as followed:

Appetizers range from 3.50$ to 9$

Lunch's from the sushi bar, hibachi and the lunch boxes range from 8$ to 21$, most of which are also served with soup, salad and rice.

Dinners from the kitchen range from 10$ to 17$

Hibachi style dinners range from 20$ to 33$, which also includes soup, salad, shrimp, vegetable and fried rice.
